"A" is for Amanda and this almost-5 year old little princess belongs to my high school classmate Wendy. Yes, almost everyone I know is a mother. I can't wait to be one myself *grins*
I also think Amanda is the split image of her mum! They've got the same smile! It's a weird feeling seeing your classmate blossom into a mother. I can't exactly explain it... OK, maybe "weird" is not the right word but it just is - weird.
It's like I can almost recall the high school days where we would bicker over lyrics of a song and argue over which band/singer is behind that popular hit! Or we would be discussing which boy in the next class is cute...
Fast forward to 2007, and she's already a mother to 2 little girls. A parent who's duties are endless and sacrificial... yet very rewarding at the end of the day *smiles* You go girl! It isn't the easiest task but I'm sure you can do it! *cheers*
It was nice to see both mother and child this year. It's been helluva long time since I've met Wendy. So being in church, celebrating Christmas together (in a way), was nice. Thank you God, for friends.
Perhaps the next time we meet, Amanda would be all grown up and not pee in her diapers *hee hee*... then again, kids grow up way faster than we think...
Merry Christmas Amanda and Mummy (oh, and her Daddy and Amelia)!
