Split Ends!

I am totally appalled when the boyfriend pointed out matter of factly: "Eh, check out your split ends." There was a moment of shock because split ends I've seen a couple... but these... were really split. I mean, I could not have had a better way of describing it, so I tried to take a picture of it with its shadows. My hair is degenerating! And to think I've just had it cut too! Oh dear, oh dear, is this yet another sign of ageing!? *double gasps*
